Writing on the Bone

Write information on the models in pencil. When you're ready, the graphite will wash off in hot soapy water as easily as the clay. If you intend to experiment with other marking tools, experiment first on the lug at the heel to be certain it can be removed. Write skeletal names such as ( femur, humerus, radius, sternum, lumbar, tibia, and ilium) or numbers on the bones, or into clay on muscles. Students may wish to test each other.
